Department Established in  UG 1958 PG 1961
Brief Profile of the Department:   The Department of Commerce came in to existence in year 1958 beginning with UG Classes. And open PG class from 1961. Dr. L.S. Nigam was the first head the department of the commerce. As the  college was affiliated to APS university Rewa. After 1995 this college was affiliated to Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar. At present it is affiliated from Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhnad University Chhatarpur (M.P.). At present seven post sanctioned in this department and 832 students are registered in department. The success rate is 95% in UG and 99% in PG.

The Department also conducts departmental Activities on various health issues.
Achievements of the Department
1. Three students selected as Assistant Taxation Officer, one student selected as Probationary officer in Punjab National Bank.
2. Seven students selected as clerk in banks , two students selected as clerk in LIC and ten students are working as guest faculty in various colleges.
Future Plans of the Department
1. To introduce the B.B.A. program.
2. To Introduce M.Phil. program in research work.  
3. To introduce diploma courses in tourism hotel management and taxation.
4. To develop a well established computer lab .
5. To strength the existing departmental library with a lot of reference book.
